  • NTX Wash - anti static feature?

Can someone confirm if the NTX Wash has this anti-static ability? I thought I saw someone but the bottle does not say anything like that?

It has an anti-spotting feature, but not anti-static feature.

Mike, you missed the bottles that said "anti-static" rather than "anti-spotting". When I read about the NXT wash, my brochure that I got from Meguiar's related the info about the water softeners to prevent spotting; however, when I went to Poop Boys to buy some, the bottles there said nothing about softening, but touted the "anti-static" properties of the wash to prevent dust from accumulating...so I ordered online cuz I wanted the softeners...don't know if there was really any diff in the product, but the labels were definitely different.

I can say that I have not really noticed that the NXT really repelled dust any more or less than the GC wash that I have typically used. But I also must say that I have never really tried to do a comparison.

          Hi Setec,

I have one of the first labels printed and it says right on it, anti-static ingredient as the first bullet point but this was removed and replaced with engineered water softener leaves spot-free finish. I helped to write the labels for this product line and remember that the anti-static bullet point was either a mis-communication or a mis-understanding. It would definitely be a cool benefit and feature for a car wash but were not there yet.

One of the problems with creating anti-static products is that air-borne dust and other air borne contaminants and particles have their own static charge and that's half of the problem when it comes to dust accumulation.

It will be good if there is such anti-static washing liquid and wax...I will definately be the first to buy it.

I had my new subaru nxt wash and dry...but within 1 hour it had fine dust all settle on the car paint......real problem.

                  Mike,

Our local customer care service guy still saying the NXT Wash has got the anti-static capability.

You may want to correct him if the first lot of label was miscommunicate.

                  Cheers.

Plus, there is gravity too, and there's not much a car wash can do about that. BTW, I have observed anti-static properties with MPPP.
