  • Where can I buy the All Purpose Cleaner locally? Difference between NXT and Gold?

I just got into cleaning my car more often and I'd like to stay with all Meguiar's products. I've read that using a 10:1 diluted Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner is good before using the Gold Class Leather Cleaner/Conditioner but i haven't been able to find the APC at any of the stores (Walmart, Kragen/Oreilly, Autozone, and PepBoys). I"m in Orange County, CA btw.

Also, I have an old bottle of the Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo and COnditioner (probably 4 years old). Is this still safe to use?

Also, is the FOAM Gold Class Leather Cleaner/Conditioner the same as the lotion sold today? It's also four years old lol. I haven't seen the FOAM leather cleaner for purchase anywhere so i'm thinking it was discontinued.

Its not sold at regular stores.

Need to order online, or find a PBE store. You can use the Dealer Locator on the front page and type in your address. Just be sure to call before you go.

Although, I am sure someone will just tell you, lots of people live there...

This is a good resource for buying Meguiars products you can't find locally, which for me is a lot. He carries just about everything, and the Detailer line and Mirror Glaze line products, a lot of time he sells them in sample sizes that no one else has, so you can try APC for instance. A 32 ounce bottle at 10:1 will actually go a long way.

TOGWT suggested to me using soap and water for a first cleaning of the leather. I had to remember how to do that, but I got a bucket of water, a bar of (real) soap, and a terry towel. The water got pretty dirty, so it must have worked. Then you are supposed to rinse with clean water then dry before applying leather cleaner and conditioner.

If youre willing to drive to Irvine then drive by detailing . com's showroom. They have a pretty good price for APC+.

They have a physical store. It's small, not a warehouse, everything is pretty much laid out and the guy in there is super helpful and very knowledgeable. You can buy everything on line, choose store pickup and then call them, they will have everything available when you arrive.

+1 on that. I arrived after hours and he opened up, even when I told him I probably wouldn't be making a purchase. (I was just in town for a visit).

Me too! http://www.properautocare.com has some of the Meguiar's line and they ship from Florida, so I get it sooner, but they don't have nearly the selection that ADS has. If you subscribe to their forum you get 10% off.

Now that I think about it, http://www.autogeek.net is in Florida too and has a pretty good selection of Meguiar's too. I haven't ordered anything from them, but if you subscribe to their forum you get free shipping over $95, and they say they match prices. What they really push, though, is their pricier lines of products.

They really don't push any one product.

AG always has a BOGO program that changes every other week, A couple times throughout the week they have free shipping over $75 and there are several discount codes you can use to get 10% off. Oh and yes they will price match.
