I was at walmart tonight and noticed they had the gold class wash for $5 and it was the 48 oz. size bottle, in which I've never seen before as it comes usually in the 64 oz. size. Is the 64 oz size discontinued and now replaced with the 48 oz. size, or is this a promotion with walmart?

Could be marketing strategy. Ultimate Wash and Wax also comes in a 48 oz bottle. If Meguiars continues to produce Gold Class in 64 oz bottles and Walmart and Target sell it for between $7-$8 while 48 oz UW&W sells for $10, then a lot of consumers would have problems paying more for UW&W while getting less product. By evening the playing field between the two products, the extra price for UW&W can now be justified for the unique properties of the new product.Comment

The Wal Mart where I live reset the car care shelves, and subsequently removed most of the Meguiars products

I saw this yesterday. They have the 48 oz of Gold Class for $5 I think, the Ultimate Wash and Wax 48 oz for around $9 and the Deep Crystal 64 oz for $3.50.
I wanted the Gold Class 64 oz. How much was the Gold Class 64 oz at WalMart? I can't remember.
