Does UP have any cleaning abilities? I wonder when UP wears off will the white residue still be on the trim?

My battle is always with rubber trim though.

Nothing really seems to help it. Rubber trim always looks blotchy and whatnot, don't you think?

Even when you apply a protectant, it just attracts dirt, better than not protecting it, but I sometime swish manufacturers could move on to a better material.

Re: Ultimate Protectant explained in ONE word

Finally tried Ultimate Protectant yesterday as it warmed up in northeast Ohio. This is the best automotive product I have ever used! I washed my red 2007 Suburban with Gold Class wash, another Meguire's winnner, then carefully applied UP to the exterior black plastic components. With 63,000 miles of daily driving over salty Ohio roads it was looking a bit tired, this product brought back the original showroom look, possibly better than new. This weekend I will try it out on the ultimate "toy", my 1998 SL500. The ultimate question is how can Meguire sell this for only $10 US?

I used it on the interior dash of my 96 Suburban and the results just blew my mind. It looked like it was all greasy and what not but when I swiped my finger over it, it was bone dry but still shone like a freshly installed dash! I'm totally SOLD!

Like I said, give a few minute after massaging it into the trim/ dash, and it will be bone dry and still look like its just greasy and slick as all get it. It will fool anyone into thinking the dash is slick and greasy, when in fact it isn't.

Here's proof of how well that Ultimate Protectant works! My trucks interior is 14 years old and I've never seen it look this good!!!

I do not think UP makes the surface look slick and greasy.

Nothing about UP reminds me of anything that is slick or greasy.

Hmm I tried in two application.. one and two times application.. Yes one application with a little product will give natural shine and darkness, and with a second application with the same quantity of product will give even more shine and darkness.. I like the natural look, so I used a very little product..

I also have Supreme Shine Interior Detailer which I think, in my opinion gives darker look, a great reflection and shine, while Ultimate Protectant gives a lot darker look and shine, and less reflection than supreme shine..

I just share my experience on my dashboard.. Maybe this is just personal opinion..
