  • NXT Tech Wax™ Spray vs. UQW spray

    Hi friends

Still learning alot from your previous topics just wondering which product will suit my 18 month old red seat ibiza paint by hand.

The dealer has offered free paint protection when 0 km and all the washing process since is made by me with sponge and used high speed wax(sonax) with microfibers after every washing process.

Now it has some very very light swirls then i am trying to find stg to without using abrasives removing clear coat, protect and shiny look and the goal must be easy to apply in 2-3 hours max by hand.

does nxt spray wax easy to apply?or contains abrasives?
does UQW removes very very light swirls.?or hide them

also the prices are the same for NXt 710 ml and UQW 450 ml.

or do i need cleaner wax just confused

    will wait for your replies..

Ultimate Quik Wax and NXT Generation Spray Wax are more of a maintenance products than total protection of the surface. They are not abrasive, the only purpose is to protect to a point the paint of your vehicle.

Since they are considered for maintenance purposes they are extremely easy to apply and remove. UQW is a new formula, it can be applied in direct sunlight, has the Hydrophobic Polymer Technology that you won't find in NXT Generation Spray Wax.

I would recommend waxing your vehicle often, with a paste or liquid wax and maintain your vehicle with UQW or NXT Spray Wax.

Cleaner Wax is a all-in-one product. This means that is has a very gentle ability to clean the paint (removing very light defects) and leave a protective barrier behind. It's great for daily drivers and it's very easy to apply and remove as well.

There is only one way to truly remove swirl marks, and that is with an abrasive product that will, to some very small degree, remove paint. A scratch, no matter how small or shallow, is still a scratch in the paint, meaning that at least some very tiny amount of paint is missing. In order to remove a scratch you actually have to remove surrounding material down to the level of the bottom of the scratch.

Now, to some degree the appearance of a scratch is minimized by rounding off the corners of the scratch so that the sharp edge is not reflecting light back at you, but even that is technically removing some paint. What is important to keep in mind is that the amount of paint being removed in this process is almost immeasurably small - so much so that you shouldn't worry about it at all.

A product like SwirlX is extremely mild and can be used by hand to eliminate very fine swirls prior to waxing. But if your swirls are still minimal at this point, then Ultimate Quik Wax may be a quick and easy solution for you, albeit just a temporary one. UQW is known for being able to very effectively hide fine defects, even rotary holograms to some degree. It contains no abrasives whatsoever so you can use it every week if you like.

If done properly, removing a small amount of clearcoat to remove swirls/scratches is nothing to worry about. If you're really concerned about doing it, look into having it done by a professional auto detailer in your area.

I think the UQW was supposed to be the NEW NXT TechWax 2.0 Spray Wax.

Yep. It's been around since the original NXT, meaning it is not a hydrophobic product, and it has not been changed since introduction.
