i am folowing my thread with new sily questions

As there is a trouble with the volcanic activity all the flights and etc. cancelled and they say there will be acidic rains coming by all over europe.Is the wax application protects the colour from this material?

I am sure it will make the wax wear off more quickly than normal, so you may want to be planning to reapply more often.

Many (way too many) years ago I worked a summer in a pulp mill and had a red car (!corvair!) that spring which became a pink car by the fall - due to all the junk in the air. That stuff was really hard on the old single-stage paint.

So, I would be very diligent about washing your car very regularly for the next several weeks, maybe even twice or more per week. And I assume you have a good coat(2) of wax on right now, if not then immediately do it.

That said, you should be OK, but might want to do a full detail (wash +clay +cleaner etc) in next 1-2 months when the main ash is over, and then again in the fall.

Thanx for the replies the weather conditions are better now and finally the sun started to shine and also wonder if the waxing protects from sunlights and prevent the car becoming pink...?

Wax and polish keeps the paint in good shape, condition.

That allows the UV products in the paint to take care of the paint best.
