DC1 has been discontinued, replaced by swirlx. Don't know why DC2 and DC3 are discounted.
There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?

Step 1 has been discontinued. It isn't necessary replaced by SwirlX, but they are similar. SwirlX is probably a little more aggressive than Step 1. Step 2, our pure polish, and step 3, our pure carnauba wax, will still be around.

Those products have been around for a long time. We have products with newer technology and since plan-o-grams are so important to these large stores they may be replacing them with 2010 products.

Nxt and Gold Class are probably outselling DC3 at many places, so no need to keep it on the shelves.

They aren't discontinued (well, DC1 is, but it most definitely hasn't been replaced by Swirl-X as said above) because they are on clearance or marked down or whatever. I was just at a Pep Boys today and all 3 were full price. Each store decides what to carry and what not to carry. If they aren't selling, generally, out they go for something else that may sell and therefore actually make them money.

I was saying swirlx replacing DC1, because as far as the consumer line, I thought swirlx was the least aggressive paint cleaner and once DC1 is no longer available....swirlx would be your next choice...for a paint cleaner.

It could be a case of this particular store reducing inventory of the Deep Crystal 3 Step System due to slow sales at that location, or they're clearing out the old label stuff to make way for the new. As has been mentioned, Step 1 has been discontinued, so the bottles for Step 2 and Step 3 were redesigned to eliminate reference to "Steps" - you can't very well have a "Step 2 Polish" when no associated "Step 1" product exists now, can you?

As for what replaced DC Step 1 Paint Cleaner, you could argue that both SwirlX and Ultimate Compound did since they were both introduced at the same time DC 1 was discontinued.

Well, it could be a replacement as far as aggressiveness goes. I was talking about DC1 being a paint cleaner and SwirlX being an AIO wax. I just misunderstood where you were going with it.
