Ok, I have just waxed my car with TechWax 2.0. I love the brilliant shine. Is there any product(s) made my Meguiars that I can put on top of TechWax 2.0, and add more depth and gloss? Thank You!

Re: Add extra gloss
I remember someone asking the same question on another thread, and I believe the answer to that was that the "cleaning ability" was negligible to none. You can wait for someone else to chime in on this before you attempt it if you want, for peace of mind.
As soon as it stops raining every other day here, I plan on applying NXT 2.0 followed by GC Carnauba wax.2011 Infiniti G37S 6MT

Re: Add extra gloss
To absolutely maximaze wet-look depth, try some M07 (or DC2) glaze/polish right after claying and paint-cleaning, which means before you put your NXT-2.0 wax on. Remember much of your final look is determined by the preparation and not by the actual final wax. Putting glaze on top of NXT is not very effective, since it wont get through to the paint itself, and will be mostly wipped off with minimal effect.
If you know you are going to top NXT with a carnuba, then try topping with #26 which is a pure carnuba (no cleaner, no polish, just wax). I would suggest the liquid since less application wipping than the paste and hence a little less underlying NXT wipped off.
No matter what carnuba you use to top, be sure to leave your base NXT coat to cure/harden/bond for 1(minimum)-12(ideal) hours first, else applying+wiping the carnuba will remove more of the NXT. The carnuba will give a SLIGHTLY deeper look, but with SLIGHTLY less gloss/mirror reflective look that synthetic sealants (like NXT) have.2010 XRS

Re: Add extra gloss
As Searle said a lot of gloss comes with proper prep before waxing. I would suggest trying a panel of your car or a 2x2 area with the
Carnauba wax over the NXT2.0 to see if you like the look. You may just want to use a 2nd coat of NXT.I tried the Carnauba over NXT but liked the look of 2 coats of NXT better.

Re: Add extra gloss
Well around here, we believe that the prep determines the gloss. If your paint is neglected, meaning bonded contaminants or whatever , how are you going to apply a lsp to achieve maximun gloss. the paint has to be clened and prepped first. Then you have a better shot at obtaining maximun gloss.
Usually I just apply 2 coats of #21. A very similar product to NXT. However a lot of people like to use #26 after nxt.
Good luck.quality creates its own demand

Ultimately, if there really is a difference, you need to try both final toppings and see which makes your heart warm and fuzzy. It absolutely depends on your car paint and color, and your perception and slight gloss vs depth preference.2010 XRS

Re: Add extra gloss
To add to the comments what about after your nxt 2.0 cures, did you apply 2 layers?
Anyways what about spraying on some ultimate quik wax and then another trick the car guys used to do and still do is before a show or a cruise-in is to apply #7 show car glaze to their paint (Yeah I know, but if your after all the gloss and the deepest darkest wet looking paint give it a try) it will only last a day or two at best but give it a try and look at it at different angles and light to see for yourself, after all it's your eyes that's the judge! We've got all these great products form meguiars and I for one try different combo's to see if it looks better to me or not, because you never know what you can do until you try it.
What I call a depth gauge
Also another trick I've done from time to time (can only do in a garage and when you first read don't move the car so you will be under the same conditions when you take your after reading)is use a new yard stick with a piece of tape across the bottom of it so it wont scratch my surface and stand it on it's end(starting at 1 inch against the surface) so I can look down into my paint(horizontal surfaces)to see the furthest reading from the reflection of my paints surface on the yardstick, (like after a wash maybe seeing 14''good (maybe use a red marker to mark a couple measurements to break-up the numbers) and then after finishedthe detail maybe I can see 24'' or ?
Been doing this since the late 90's so I don't/can't remember if I came up with this or read about it or what! But does show how much of a improvement/difference you've made in your reflectivity. (so to speak)''USE THE LEAST AGGRESSIVE PRODUCT TO GET THE JOB DONE RIGHT''

Re: Add extra gloss
^^ That's a great idea about the "depth gauge". I've never heard of that one before. I'll have to try it out.Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.
