Have any used this wax? Consumer Reports rated this as #1 on liquid car wax (higher than GC and NXT). I used it yesterday on my old car (paint is always good), and it was CLAYED first. I waited 30 minutes for it to dry. When, I started removing the wax, it started smearing (oily). I used a quick detailer to help me remove the wax evenly, but was it did not help. I have no idea why this wax is rated number #1. Anyhow, I bought this wax for only $0.01. I guess no harm done. LOL.

Re: Black Magic Wet Shine
You didn't allow it to completely dry. I used this wax years ago and never had a problem with it on my black car. I was in hot and humid Florida at the time. Allow it to dry completely and you shouldn't have a problem.
NXT2.0 shouldn't cause streaking, either. Again, you're not allowing it to dry long enough.
ColinA common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Re: Black Magic Wet Shine
Consumer Reports does a lot of product tests very thoroughly, but their wax test wasn't. They compare a cleaner wax with other regular waxes, that alone really shows they don't know how to properly do a comparison test.

Trusting consumer reports for wax is about as accurate as using the National Enquirer for news.2006 San Remo Red WRX TR
2005 Ford Ranger XLT
Detailers clean places nobody see. Detailer see's things nobody else see. But if you ask a Detailer to see how a dress looks on a woman, they are blind.

Re: Black Magic Wet Shine
Well, I tried it one more time on the trunk lid of my 2004 Hyundai Elantra. Clayed it first, then applied a thin coat of BM Wet Shine. I left the house for three hours, then came back home to wipe (and buff). It still smears.

I tried to come back the other day to AutoZone, but they won't sell me anything for $0.01 anymore. They said they "cannot sell anything for a penny." I told them that they were clearance, plus why would they still have it on the shelves if they are not sell it? I think the representatives are trying to buy it afterwork. This is BS.

Re: Black Magic Wet Shine
Tried to apply it again (third time), on a clean, prepped trunk lid, next to EO NanoWax. I waited about two hours after application. Buffed-off both sides, and...NanoWax came-off so much easier, no streaking and barely any elbow-grease. The Wet Shine streaks like H***, and my armS almost fell-off buffing-off this wax. Yet, the depth and shine are identical to each other.
