Can ColorX be applied with a PC? The bottle does not have directions for PC use. If it can, what is the proper procedure and pad to use? If it makes any difference, this will be on a black bc/cc.
How long should I work the ColorX? For example, in the case of #80, I usually work it until it just about turns clear. I thought this was required, in the case of #80 to break down the abrasives. But I don't think ColorX contains abrasives. I've also read that ColorX has a good deal of water and therefore requires a greater volume of material than most products., Is this correct, and by comparison to #80, would I use a greater volume of ColorX for the same area?
I think, you should apply ColorX like a wax, put onto a polishing pad, spread onto the vehicle let haze and wipe.
A member @ Autopia told me to do this
1. I'd use ColorX with a polishing pad. I've only tried it by hand a couple times, I don't think it really breaks down like Meguiars 80 series products because all Meguiars consumer products are formulated to work well by hand, so they are also very easy to use by machine. I'd say make a couple of moderate speed passes back and forth, then one real slow back and forth pass.
Meguiar's ColorX does contain both a Diminishing Abrasive and a chemical cleaner. It needs to be broken down by being worked thoroughly into the surface. It is not a wipe on...wipe off product.
I usually apply the same amount of product on to my buffing pad that I would for any other Meguiar's cleaner/polish. I use the PC on speed 5, working the product in until only a light residue remains. I then move on to another panel. After every second panel, I come back and check to see if the ColorX is ready to be removed. After doing the swipe test, I then remove with a dedicated MF towel. Some surfaces may need a second application.
After the ColorX, I like to top it with NXT Tech Wax. This combo is fantastic for both depth and gloss!!
Thanks for the tips! My ColorX has tan colored particles floating in the green liquid. What are these particles; they don't seem to be hard. Is this normal?
Thanks!

I haven't seen this in all of the bottles I've used... did you shake the bottle well before opening? If so, I would go a head and use as normal.

Yes, I did shake the bottle very well before dispensing. If you havn't seen this in all the bottles you've used, I take it that you have seen this in some bottles? What could this be? Should I return the bottle for a new one?
