I just purchased a new dodge ram pickup. its bright shiney red. It got a little dirty with some rainy weather. My first good sunshine day i took to the local Xstream wash...automatic wash. I always take my black SUV with no problems, this time it left my truck with some fine scratches on the hood. Any ideas on how to get those out? The paint is flawless with the exception of that. I dont want to do any more damage either.

by fine scratches you are referring to swirls right ? depending on the severity of them, You can give ultimate compound a shot with a DA..you can do it by hand but your arms will fall off lolAddicted

I just poseted pics. Looks to me like it was the guy using the brush to scrub the truck before it goes through the autowash. The rest of the truck is fine except for that.Comment

Try using the least aggressive paint cleaner first. Meaning, try using SwirlX or DC1. Maybe, a second application is needed, depending on the condition.Comment

Well the manager at the auto wash called and came out to detail my truck. scratches are gone now and 4 free washesComment
