  • Subtle Tire Shine Product?

I'm looking for a tire shine product that is very subtle, and doesn't attract dirt. I used to use Stoners aeresol tire shine, and now Meg's #40 rubber & plastic protectant. I guess I'm looking for the Meg's version of the stoners. I prefer a liquid prodcut b/c I put it on with a foam applicator (unlike most lazy people that just want to spray and walk away). Looking at Gold class and the Hot shine. Which one would be more up my alley?

I like Endurance, because it has some shine, but not like BLING BLING LOOK AT ME! shine. Usually lasts a couple weeks, and a couple days after application tires tend to have a nice natural look. And it doesn't attract dirt. Hyper Dressing is nice as well, because you can dilute it according to the level of shine you want. Plus it's versatile, and can be used on interiors, engine bays, wheel wells, exterior plastics, and tires. On the downside, it's not very durable on exterior pieces. Here's a pic of Endurance - I apply to all four tires, then go back and wipe them off with a dedicated microfiber towel.

You can check out this thread - http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38558 - specifically post #2, for pics of the different Hot Shine products. Hope this helps!

I think that Hot Shine is the best all around tire dressing in the consumer line. It comes in multiple forms, ( gel, aerosol, trigger, and foam) , has pretty good durabilty, a nice high gloss shine, and when applied properly has minimal sling. I also apply all my tire dressings with a foam or microfiber applicator pad.

I use more Hot Shine than I do Endurance High Gloss, but I like and use Endurance High gloss as well. Since you are interested in both, here a couple of pictures of different tires with different dressings. Hopefully this helps you make the best decision.

Hot shine, Fo Sho. The endurance is way to much for me... has a real thick goop look. I even like the #40 applied with a foam applicator. Very very nice look. I just wanted to have something a bit more blingy, but not crazy. Thanks for the pics.

That's why Meguiar's makes so many products - there are so many tastes, needs, and wants that have to be filled. This way everybody's happy and they get what they want.

            EDIT: Post #3000!
