I waxed my car yesterday, then it rained, it's not as smooth as it was when I finished waxing, but water is still beaded on my car from last night, is there a test I can do to see if the wax is still there?

To check to see if wax is still present on the finish, ball up a clean, soft 100% cotton terry cloth towel and apply it to the finish and twist it in a circle.
If you hear the towel squeaking, there is no wax present and you need to apply wax. If you near nothing, this is a sign the towel is gliding on the surface and that wax is present creating slip.
