  • waxing, then it rains?!

Just finished washing my car and waxing it with the NXT shampoo and wax...God I really love that stuff...I had neglected my car for the past month due to exams(ran it through 2 car washes), and I could really see it needed the wax, it just soaked it up and now it's night time and you can't even see my car it's so black! I love it...anyways, now it is beginning to sprinkle, possibly rain later...I finished my wax job about 2 hours ago?was it all for nothing?or what should I expect???

ps...I was in target today and saw a lot of cool gift sets from Meguiars! I wish I'd get one!(if i already didn't own everything they made)

pss. I have a 2001 Black Mercedes C240...Should I ever try the liquid or paste Gold Class wax?

    thanks

In a perfect world, you wouldn't introduce liquids like water to the finish of your car until the polymers have completely set-up. Will the rain have an effect? Probably not any that you can notice.

The Gold Class formula has been improved just recently. Gold Class looks very, very very good on black cars.

"improved" is this the newer box with the faster looking car on it that I saw today?

do you think it would look better on a black mercedes than the NXT?

ahhhh I want to buy itttttt!

I'm pretty sure the formula was improved while it was still shipping in the older style box, so it's definitely the new formula in the new box.

I haven't used the new formula on black paint in a side-by-side test... why don't you be the first?

Wash your car really well, clay the hood, clean the hood with a paint cleaner, polish with a pure polish like the Deep Crystal Polish and then apply two coats of each back to back following the directions on the label. Then inspect under different lighting conditions.

Post your results with some pictures aftewards...

In the Meguiar's line, the difference between a liquid or a paste is personal preference.
