Aluminium polish help please

Im am going to be helping a local museum polish one of their Aircraft after stripping it of paint and did small test polish today.

Using a Makita 9227CB polisher with wool bonnet and Meguiars all metal polish ( aircraft aluminium polish is just about impossible to get here, but the Meguiars is easy to get )

The one problem I have is removing the black residue after polishing a panel

Any easy to get products I can use to easily remove the residue after polishing ?



The plane also has a few anodised parts
Best way to get the anodising off so we can polish the parts ?
Unfortunately the parts are big and not really removable, so it has to be done on the plane
Can you sand it off ?

Have you tried a degreaser for the residue... like Prepsol, etc?

Didint have anything with me to test but a rag

May need a lot of terry cloth...

Be sure to look up some of Joe's airplane details.

use a little more polish to get it wet again then wipe off quick

Any harm in using Final Inspection to remove the residue from the aluminium ?

Thanks, I know those threads, but they dont give any info on Meguiars products, since they used Rolite and a few other things.

I have not been able to find Rolite here, but can get Meguiars products
