Re: Tuck91's "Lab Sample P" Product Review

    UPDATE:

I washed my truck today with NXT Generation Car Wash and so far the dressing seems to be holding up very well. When I sprayed it with the hose it beaded up, but most other dressings do that as well.

Here is a picture of the mirror, I applied Lab Sample P two days ago, and its been through rain and one wash so far:

After I washed my truck today, I applied Lab Sample P to the rest of the exterior trim and then I applied Lab Sample P to the interior.

I then applied Lab Sample P to the interior:

After applying it to the interior it left a fresh clean smell which was not too strong but not too mild either. The dressing also seemed to be a little higher glossed on the interior vinyl than the exterior trim. I will be keeping a close eye on the exterior and interior. I am curious to see if it attracts a lot of dust.

I will be sure to keep you guys updated.

How would you compare Lab Sample P to other products you've dressed your interior with? Specifically with regards to looks and ease of application.

Lab Sample P goes on pretty easily IMO. Tonight was the first time I dressed my interior with it and I what I really love about Lab Sample P is how great it makes the interior smell, this is something Tim took note of in his review. It has a very fresh and clean scent to it.

I also still have a good amount of the lab sample left and I have already applied it to all my exterior trim, interior, floormats, and three other trucks.

I like the look of it, the look depends on where and what you are applying it to though. for example, the interior has slightly more gloss than my exterior trim, the other trucks I applied it to left more of a black/matte finish.

Here it is applied to the exterior trim: ( mirrors, bed rails, cowl, mudflaps etc)

I took some more pictures of the interior also, hopefully you can see the way the dressing looks:

        One more:

Like I said, now that I have applied it to everything I am going to keep an extremly close eye on it.

IMO the dash looks too glossy with the new product.

Just curious of you're able to do the following to do some sort of longevity test:

Use the lab sample on a 50/50 piece of gray/black exterior trim. I believe you have a photo of this in your first post. Not quite sure if you did the entire piece thereafter.

I would be curious to see how long it takes the "Sample'd" portion to go back to being the same color as the untreated side.

              Thanks,
              Mike

I did do a 50/50 on various trim pieces on this truck:

I will be keeping a close eye on everything I applied it too and how long it lasts

                      Nice review Nick!

One of my main concerns about dressing exterior trim is that some can run down onto the paint when it rains. Let me know if you see anything like this on your test subjects....I'll see if I can find a vehicle with some exterior trim to try it out on too.

Very great product. Sadly I don't had any car in OZ. Maybe I will buy it when come back to Indonesia...

It's more Black than the previous Trim Detailer.

Tuck, please try this stuff on a vinyl top. I want to know if it would be an alternative to M40 for my landau top.

Is it me, or does it look a little streaky? Has this car been in the rain since the last detail?
