  • IPA wipedown after Ultimate Compound?

Hey guys, I've just used ulltimate compound to remove some scratches from my bonnet. However, some cheap colored dye "polish" (not sure if I can say the brand name) had been applied at some point, so all the pads have been stained red! I know the paint has a clear coat, so it isn't a single stage paint.

I was going to use IPA to remove all of this wax/polish before adding some decent wax, but will this interfere with any oils from the UC?

    Thanks!

The UC isnt really a polish, so you could wipedown after to check your work, and then use a polish and wax after.

But you are sure that the other products were on your car? It is fine to mention other brands here, as long as no one is insulting them.

It was some of that turtlewax color magic stuff. It's a bit suprising, cause the appearance fades after 2 washes, but must have some silicones or something in it to bond it to the paintwork, didn't budge after claying either.
