plastx and wood trims

I have a 2008 infiniti m35 with interior wood panels. It looks like wood, but also looks quite plastic like to me. I was wondering if it's safe to use the plastx (or whatever the plastic cleaning/polishing produce meguiar's sells) on this surface? Or is there a separate product i should use?

the product name is: gold class vinyl/rubber protectant actually not plastx
