i recently bought a car and on the bottom of the door are these black dots in the paint, i tried the clay bar and they didnt come out, when i rub my finger over them the paint is smooth so i assume they are in the paint and not on top of it, i really dont know what the spots are my guess would be dried tar, any suggestions and what is the difference between swirlx and scratchx? i also have minor scratches and very small imperfections around the car what use on them as well? one more question, what ever product you recommend can i use it on the whole car to clean the paint or should i stick to using it on only the spots that need it, they paint is in very good condition beside the imperfections i mentioned.

Re: paint cleaner questions
First.... PICTURES, PICTURES, PICTURES!
Scratch X 2.0 is much more aggressive then SwirlX. SwirlX is on the lower end.
Dried tar is not going to be in the paint... it's going to be on top and either clay, tar cleaner, or something like Scratch X 2.0 (not Scratch X) is going to get it off if it's tar.

Re: paint cleaner questions
You may want to try a Bug and Tar on those specific black spots first.
Then you can use SwirlX on the spots. It is also a cleaner for the whole car, so you can try them on your other swirls as well. As far as the scratches, you may or may not need a stronger product.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue
