i just bought a car and on the bottom of the door there are black spots in the paint, i am assuming it is from the tire kicking up stuff, i have used the clay bar to try to remove them but it did nothing,when i rub my finger across the spots it is smooth, any suggestions on how to remove them?

No, the SwirlX is a paint cleaner. It is a bit stronger, so it can remove swirls. But You might need the extra strength.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR BlueComment

Did you call either Advance Auto or Walmart? I believe that both chains carry SwirlX and Ultimate Compound.Swirls hide in the black molecular depths, only waiting for the right time to emerge and destroy your sanity.

Just wanted to throw this out there, but have you considered trying WD-40 on the black spots?
It may not work, but it wouldn't hurt to try, and it won't hurt your paint either.r. b.Comment

WD-40 was recently recommended to me for black tar spots by a very knowledgeable detailer. I haven't tried it yet.Swirls hide in the black molecular depths, only waiting for the right time to emerge and destroy your sanity.

With a pure polish such as Deep Crystal Step 2, a second coat would not make that much of a noticeable difference to justify doing it again.Originally posted by 79elcamino View Post
