ColorX Question

Mike,

I haven't tried it yet but, I would like to. I would like to get an idea of the agressiveness of ColorX compared to products I am more familiar with like the professional line. If you had to put a number to ColorX to fit in the Professional line agressiveness scale what would it be?

ColorX fits in-between, #6 Cleaner/Wax and #66 Quik Detailer

It is less aggressive than #66, but more aggressive than #6

At least, that's what I think I was told because I asked the same question. My go-to man for technical information is out today so I cannot easily verify. I will to double check my accuracy when he returns to the office.

By the way, ColorX works great as a pre-wax cleaner for Tech Wax. Wait till you see my write-up for the 1947 Plymouth today.

All work performed by hand using Meguiar's Quick Clay, ColorX and Tech Wax.

ColorX fan definitely gained today, this is a really nice product for the money especially on black cars. I did a Land Rover today and it looked great when done. All the basics, easy on and easy off. Only down side which isn't really a down side is that it takes alot more of this to do a car. I actually prefer ColorX to NXT.

Can the ColorX be applied with the PC or should it be done by hand only?

The bottle has no machine instructions on it, but I wouldn't hesitate to try it with a PC...Like, maybe a spot test with a W-8006 pad on 4 1/2 .

I use ColorX with a PC speed 4, white (LCM) pad, works well (PC or hand)

I use it via PC with a yelllow polishing pad @ 4-4.5, no problems at all.
