  • Watery UC= Bad?? My opinion

I've seen all the posts about how people are getting bottles of UC and how watery it is. When I first picked up a bottle, I'll admid that I was surprised at how liquid it was compared to all the other Megs polishes & cleaners, but then I used it.

The thin consistancy allows me to work a huge area if I so choose, it also slows down the flash time, giving me plenty of time to completely work the panel or area I'm buffing...both properties are a blessing at the moment as I'm detailing an enormous Chevy Silverado.

All I know is that if having the UC be watery means the product is 'bad,' I'm interested to see how a 'good' bottle works. Right now though, I don't care that I have to use a bit less or rub the product into the pad to prevent sling or run off. All I know is that the results I'm getting are top notch, which is no surprise from a Megs product.

I also bought some UC and noticed how watery it looked compared to SwirlX. Man, I can hardly get the SwirlX out of the bottle. Anyways, the UC had worked well on my '99 Cadillac and my '64 Bel Air, so I guess it is O.K.?

I decided to pick up a bottle of swirlX and UC a couple of weeks ago, and I thought the same thing, the UC was very watery and didn't know if it was bad or what, but used it anyways.

It was perfect on the Flex with either marroon cutting pad or a LC purple foamed wool pad. I had to apply it sparing after the pad was primed as it was too wet and wanted to splatter, but the working time was great and it was very easy to remove. IMO, I thought it was much easier to work with that 105 so I may have to keep it handy when i am having issues. The correction ability was very good and it finishes down nicely.
