  • My take on Quik Interior Detailer

Now that it is summer time I usually change up a couple of my detailing routines and product selections. During the summer when dust and light dirt seem to find its way onto the various surfaces of the interior of my truck, time after time I reach for Quik Interior Detailer:

What I love about this product is that it is strong enough to clean off dust, dirt, water, light stains, etc. But it still preserves the interior protectant that my truck's interior is currently wearing, which happens to be Natural Shine Vinyl & Rubber Protectant.

QID also has light UV protection so in a way it acts as a booster to the interior dressing.

I also like the smell, it leaves the interior smelling clean and crisp. I find myself spraying large amounts onto a microfiber in plain air just so it spreads around the entire interior leaving that awesome scent.

In the summer I usually treat my Silverado's interior with Quik Interior Detailer every two days. For hard to reach areas I use the Quik Interior Detailer Interior Wipes.

Anyways, I thought I would take a few pictures.

Hope this helps for anyone out there looking for a solution to maintaining their interior daily.

I love the stuff. It has UV protection and doesn't make your vinyl/leather feel greasy or oily. It has a nice natural shine to it and it feels extremely clean. I use it on all the vinyl in my interior as well as my vinyl Landau top. The more you use it, the shinier your interior gets (I use it really often, trust me...).

I like QID a lot. I prefer a matte look in the interior of my cars, and that is pretty much what QID gives me. My car is often garaged during the day, so I do not worry about needing serious UV protection for my dashboard. I am happy to go with QID, with an occasional M40 cleansing every few months. Recently I have been trying out 1Z Cockpit Premium, which seems to be a similar, albeit more expensive, product. I cannot discern a significant difference between 1ZCP and QID. As I said, I prefer the matte, non-glossy look.
