  • NXT and hot wheel shine...

I really need to take pictures of my 2001 black mercedes C240 with NXT on it...it's so great! Should I always use the NXT or should I change up and use the Gold Class(I've never tried it before)? How much longer does NXT last than the GC?

and about the Meguiars hot wheel shine, i'm not sure if thats the right name, the bottle is in the building, but it has a tire on the front with flames in the background, I'm really upset about this stuff, I used basically the whole bottle of it, theres juat some left, and I tried to give it many tests and chances, but my conclusion is that I'm really upset with it...I did try Eagle One's tire shine and it's MUCH better than Meguiars, anyone have any similar experiences?(I LOVE meguiars in general, the tire shine is the only thing i've ever had a bad experience with)...

    thanks

NXT should should last longer than Gold class wax, depending on how you care for the MB after applying NXT.
As to changing between Gold class wax and NXT wax, it all depends on the look and durability you want. If you wanted to change between the two I would use a paint cleaner before applying to ensure proper bonding.

What specifically did you not like about Hot shine?

I've had great experiences with Hot Shine High Gloss Tire Spray

However, right now my personal favorite for tires is Gold Class Endurance

This just seems to last longer than the Hot Shine.

What's the specific problem you are having with this product?

I am out of it right now and wal mart was too, but I love hot shine. that is exactly the way I like the tire to look.

Does the hot shine produce less gloss then endurance? I tried endurance the other day and it gave a really high gloss. I don't like the high gloss look. I would prefer a more matt look. Should I give hot shine a try or what would be another option?

yea, i just dont like it, i can let it sit on the tire for awhile, let it 'cure' on there, and drive somewhere, then its completely almost off....the eagle one is much better....i am seriously thinking about buying the endurance though, that sounds like quality stuff

LT1 Corvette, Endurance is available in a low/medium gloss version. Endurance worked great for me on Goodyear Eagle GSC tires, but was terrible on Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. With the F1 tires it would not stay on the tire, it slinged (slung?) all over the paint of my TA, where it was extremely hard to remove. So for me, how well Endurance worked depended a lot on what brand/model of tire it was being used on.

Hot Shine is by far my all time favorite tire dressing. Easy to apply, great shine if you prefer the high gloss look, no sling, and good durability. It usually lasts 3-4 weeks for me. IMHO, it is unrealistic to expect ANY tire dressing to last more than a few weeks. BTW, I prefer the trigger spray version of Hot Shine. It is easier to use when there is wind present with less overspray.

If Hot Shine is not staying on the tire, it could be that there is residue left from a previously applied tire dressing. Or it simply may not be compatible with the rubber compounds used in your tires.
