  • Supreme Shine Protectant

While doing a little traveling for a few days, I finally saw this and picked it up. Gave it a try, ASAP, so camera available, but not much to see. I Nxt Tech Protect'ed only about 2 weeks ago.

I usually use the Nxt Tech Protectant, which is supposed to be high gloss, but comes to more of a high/medium on my very textured dash + wipe down after 5 minutes. But I seem to get a pretty good film on my glass a couple days after using it that needs cleaned off, and does have a slight greasy feel even after wiping off. And yes, I do use it on my steering wheel, again lots of texture.

So, I wiped down with some IQD, and then applied the SS Protectant with by spraying it on my cloth and wiping around.

I seemed to need more sprays of this product for it to be able to cover the surface at first, but that could be do to the finer misting spray head.

The smell was a bit strong while applying it (like lots of sunscreen), I was a tad worried, but seemed to go away very fast once applied.

After I applied, the gloss did not seem as high as it was with the Nxt Tech Protectant. I still wiped down after 5 min, and there was not much toning down. Looked dark and rich and shiny, but not the extra level of gloss.

I drove around this evening, and the wheel felt perfectly dry, which was great. Always seemed to have a slight Nxt residue the first time I drove after dressing.

I also wiped off the front window, and hopefully wont see anything much on the window over the next few days. But will certainly write back if I do.

Nice review. I've been looking to try this out (been using #40 for a while) and IIRC, the protection of this is the same as #40 as well. Might have to swing by and pick some up..

They are both dressings, so should be similar as far as protection. And a bit more than the Interior QD.

I love that smell. Very tropical.

I love Supreme Shine. Great stuff. Doesn't seem to attract nearly as much dust as the Armor All I used to use. I like shine, but nothing greasy or artificial. That's why I switched from AA to SS. Supreme Shine works better in my car because of the light gray interior - you can't see the effect of Natural Shine on light colors.

Supreme Shine on my dash (sorry for the glare - you can see the shine on the steering wheel and the lower portions of the dash)

            UPDATE:

Well, the car sat out in the sun for a few days, and I drove home last night, so plenty of headlights, streetlights, etc.

I could not see any major film on the windows. There was a little around the edges, but that may have been from the Nxt Tech Protectant. The bulk ofthe window showed no new film.

            OVERALL:

This might not be quite as shiny as I would like, esp for being called Supreme Shine, but bone dry and no film do count as plusses for me. I think I have to say I like it.

I like the Supreme Shine for its truly non-greasy finish it leaves behind.

I think Tech Protect looks more glossy though.
