    Hey all,

I recently purchased the above to give it a try as I've always heard good things about Meguiar's products.

A couple days ago, I throughly cleaned my vinyl interior and applied it using a MF towel... then went back over it a few minutes later with a clean MF to buff off the excess and give my interior a nice satiny finish. It looked great and I was very pleased. It wasn't near as "plastic-looking" as Armor-All's Designer Advantage that I'd used previously.

Today it was raining when I took my car out. Later I noticed that where the rain fell on my interior door panels, from when I opened the car door, I had dull splotchy spots and the like. Now this I wasn't pleased about. ...and I certainly don't want to have to worry about touching up my door panels every time a little rain hits them.

Has anyone else seen this with this product? Should I perhaps be looking for a different product with a little more water resistance?

    Much thanks,
    John

I have the same problem with my interior panels no matter what protectant I use. I see that you live in Ohio. I live up here in southeastern michigan and I think that the problem is Acid Rain and all the **** in the air. I figure if it is just water coming out of the sky it wouldn't eat my protectant off! If you live in an area where there are factorys or anything like that I think that is the problem. I am not a science major or anything so if I am wrong somebody correct me, But I think that is the problem. Hope this helps.
Nothing but the best, That's why I use Meguiar's.

IMO #40 has a alittle more staying power, but that might be due to the fact that it isn't quit as shiney so you don't notice it as much.

        Hey,

I too have had issues with rain droplets affecting any dressing I have used regardless of brand. I have found that if you thoroughly remove the excess with a MF towel, the spotting does become less.

        Cheers!

If somebody finds a protectant that TRULY doesn't spot/run when in contact with water/rain................... please call me collect......... cause I want the stuff!

Seriously, I agree with Tim............ buffing off the excess protectant (any brand) does seem to help a bit. Some of the manfacturers (like 303) recommend that you buff off the excess "briskly"!
