  • Does Gold Class Shampoo cause beading?

Before my wash, there was no beading. After using Gold Class Shampoo, water beaded up and sheeted off as if there was wax.

Does Gold Class Shampoo cause beading or is it my wax? If it was my wax, shouldnt it have beaded during the pre-rinse also?

I think it was black magic

Nah my guess is the lubricants within the wash remained on your paint slightly?

It is likely because you have removed contaminants that were interfering with the water molecules trying to bead up. A dirty vehicle will not bead or sheet water nearly as effectively as a clean one.

This is demonstrated by the fact that a freshly clayed and polished surface will often display properties similar to a surface with a wax or sealant present, despite the lack of either.

Any pollen, dirt, grime, etc, etc, will interfere with beading.

As an example, I applied RainX on my windows a couple weeks back. I know it does not wear off quickly, and I have applied no cleaners. But, my windows show no beading. However, as soon as I go get gas, and use the squeegee to clean my windows, all the beading and run off comes back.

Sometimes, the dirt just overcomes everything else.

You also have to consider how the water was applied. A spray from a hose and a downpour from the rain can cause different effects also.
