Um...the Meguiar's online store? The bottle in the picture still says "Tech Protectant", but the text says "Next Generation Cockpit Shine". Some of the links at various places on the site, well, some say one, some say the other.

There was a post a couple months back from someone who mistook the NXT protectant for the NXT booster wax. He sprayed the protectant on his hood and made quite a mess. There was some discussion in that thread that the name of the protectant should be changed to avoid such confussion....maybe he got his wish???

              Here's the deal...

Cockpit Shine is the same product as Tech Protectant, only the label has been changed to more strongly position this product for interior use. Cockpit Shine can still be used on the exterior components.

Hopefully the new label and picture will help to remove any confusion over it and NXT Spray Wax.

Note the new pictures is of the interior/dash of a car. Here is the thread where someone suggested changing the bottle/label.

              Tech Protectant

                Mike,

Just a note...You may want to inform whoever runs the website that the picture in the store is still the Tech Protectant one, not the Cockpit Shine one.

That makes sense, I only use the tech protectant on my dash anyway, the first little bit of rain takes it off my trim and streaks on to the paint. I still like the GC trim detailer for that application

Yeah I realized this when Mark from Pal Automotive here in NJ brought it up.
