  • Cleaners in NXT?

I am not bashing this wax because I like it and use it quite often. But I was wondering... I heard that NXT has a light abrasive and a light cleaner in it. What would be the long term effects on my paint say I wax every 2 weeks to a month and in between I use the NXT Spray Wax.

First off I am not bashing Autopia, I have been a member there for years.. But in the past I have seen some very uninformed individuals comparing nxt to Diamond Cut (85). I wonder on occasion what percent of those people have actually tried the product.

Yeah there's a few individuals on a number of forums that continually position products in a negative manner for their own agenda... They're pretty easy to see through once you start reading their posts. Most people can see their bias for what it is.

          A couple of things,

When you use the worked abrasive, most people think of something gritty, correct? Yet, if take NXT Tech Wax and rub some between your fingers, do you feel anything gritty?

How about this, water can be abrasive, it carved out the Grand Canyon. So next time someone starts throwing around the word abrasive, ask them to define it for you so that everyone is on the same page.

All Meguiar's waxes are non-abrasive, that is they will not scratch your car's finish. Some have the ability to clean the paint, and even abrade the paint, but they do in in such a way as to not scratch the finish. Same goes for Meguiar's pure polishes.

NXT Tech Wax contains a specialized cleaner, that helps to eliminate fine swirls and scratches. Like this,

At the same time, it produces an absolutely show car shine with a deep, wet-look on a finish that is previously cleaned and polished,

So regardless of badly some people on the Internet want to try to make others think the NXT Tech Wax contains abrasives... as in the kind of abrasives that are scratchy, they're just plain wrong...

Next time you have a bottle of NXT Tech Wax out, shake it up well and then pour a little into your hand and feel the product between your fingers, then answer this question, does it feel abrasive? Or does it fell like a skin lotion.

Here's a beautiful black Viper that the owners machine polished with Speed Glaze and then applied two coats of NXT Tech Wax...

I guess the people posting that NXT Tech Wax has abrasives haven't seen these pictures yet....

After putting this 1963 Corvette Roadster through a thorough machine cleaning and polishing process, why would we then use a wax on it that contains abrasives?

                        Hi mopar,

The long term effects of using NXT Tech Wax combined with NXT Spray Wax on your car's finish will result in an awesome looking car!

Do you own some Meguiar's Cleaner/Wax, as in the A-12 Cleaner/Wax in the maroon bottle, or some #9 Swirl Remover 2.0?

Both of these are incredibly gentle products, especially the A-12 Cleaner/wax. It's a light duty cleaner/wax, which is perfectly safe to use often on any paint to maintain it in like new condition. NXT Tech Wax is no where even close to a product like this in it's ability to clean paint. You will be perfectly safe to use NXT Tech Wax as often as you like without any negative results on your car's finish.

                        Hope this helps...
