  • How to remove water spots?

Detailed my 2001 Mustang GT yesterday for the first time with my PC. I used some old Meguiars step 1,2,3 Products and they removed some light scratches but I couldn't get any of the water spots off my roof. Also I can't seem to get any of the water spots of my windows what would you guys recommend?

This is what I came up with for my next detail session.

How to Clean, Polish and Wax Car Pain.

Use only 5.5 inch pads and a 5 inch Dual-Action Hook & Loop Flexible Backing Plate on the Porter Cable 7424

    • Swirl removal using Lake Country Orange Pad (use only if needed)
    • White polishing pad
    • Finishing Polish or apply wax with Lake Country Gray Pad
    • Remove Wax with Lake Country Lambswool pad covered with a Cobra Microfiber Bonnet.

Between each step first lightly mist the pads with Pinnacle XMT Polishing Pad conditioner and use a Cobra Microfiber towel to remove polishes.

    Meguiars Car Products

    • ScratchX 2.0 or Ultimate Compound only for extreme situations
    • SwirlX (possible to pass this step and go right to waxing)
    • Nxt Generation Tech Wax 2.0

    Detailing

Ultimate Quick Detailer spray (love this stuff)

    Gold Class Car wash

Some pictures of the car after winter with just a wash and Ultimate QD. Sorry no pics from yesterdays full detailing.

Hmm, think your message got a little garbled in translation there.

You might find that UC or SwirlX by hand will work better than the PC, since you can focus the energy more.

But either way, you used a very mild cleaner product, which is likely most of the problem. So step up to something a bit stronger, and see what happens.

      I'm leaning more toward M105
