SwirlX with rotary

Hello there!

I bought SwirlX to remove light swirls on my car and I want to use it with rotary polishing machine.

It says that I can use Swirlx by hand or DA, so I ask you if is it OK to go with rotary?
Will I get in trouble?

I am courious also. I dont see why not. I also have some Swirl X, and when I get a chance I will try it. Right now Im in a nursing home after a knee replacement. It may be some time before I can get to it.

I would not use it with the rotary.
Meguiars knows their products best, so if the label does not mention rotary I would not use it with the rotary.

SwirlX is not formulated to be used with a rotary buffer, at least one of the things this means it's not formulated for use with heat as rotary buffers tend to create head due to the direct drive design of the drive unit.

The correct product would be a product like M205 in our Professional Line which is formulated for use with a rotary buffer.

Now that the official recommendations are posted and everyone is aware of what's what, if you can't get a hold of M205 in your country yet then you could always give the SwirlX a try with your rotary.

Probably best to use it with a polishing or finishing pad and 1500 rpms or a little lower.

Work small sections till you get a feel for how well it's buffing and what kind of buffing cycle you have to work with. (Buffing cycle is how long the product is wet and workable on the surface before becoming to dry to buff with, also called "play time").

Thanx for quick reply. I don't have a DA, I just bought rotary so I want to give it a try.
I was wondering if I can burn paint, becouse of not proper lubrication. I will contact our supplier for M205 and give it a try.

I'm a newbie at this whole car detailing game, but I wouldn't suggest using a rotary buffer, especially on a newer car if you've never used one before. They can, and will definitely burn the paint if you don't know what you're doing. I would suggest trying to get a DA, and or finding a buddy who has one, LOL. Anyway, good luck. Becareful!
