I have a bottle of tire shine and I cant seem to open the lid off, its seems like its a lock or something. It turns alittle bit but then stops and cant turn anymore.

I hit them on the edge of my bench, just graze the top of the cap and the edge of your bench. -

Just kidding! Sorry, couldn't resist. Maybe the top is like the cap on mouthwash, where there are two little tabs that you have to press before you can turn it. What kind of tire shine is it? Also, some bottles are just more difficult to open than others for whatever reason.

Its the Meguiar's Hot Shine (I dont use anything else beside Meguiar's to clean my car).

Those are hard.
What happens when you twist does it not move?
If it does not move, then try pushing down on the top and twisting or lifting up and twisting.
If it does move keep twisting or try the above.

I have used a terry cloth wrap it around the spray head where it screws down and really crank on it. Lefty Loosy, Righty Tighty
I have Eagle One all wheel/tire cleaner and they have the locking spray heads and I just grip and turn, hold your breath and close one eye usually helps

they are really hard to get off (the hot shine bottles), i clamped mine in the vice and turned the lower see through part of the bottle, the top part really hurts your hand if you try and undo it.Comment
