What would be best for that, the particular parts are the nerf bars on my truck, they are about 10 months old, and this winters salt is making some spots on them. What do i do?

You can certainly clay them and then use something like the Nxt Metal Polysh or the Hot Rims Mag and Aluminum Polish.

Another product that people have been using as a metal polish is #105.

      Re: cleaning polished stainless

Are you sure these are stainless steel? Most of these are chrome?

Regardless, our metal polishes will work fine for light rust spots on chrome or stainless steel. Our metal polishes leave behind a protective film but if you want a little more protection it's perfectly fine to apply a coat of any quality car wax. Be sure to let it fully dry and then remove the excess.

A film of car wax creates a barrier coating on the surface to lock out moisture so something is better than nothing...

How about some M93 Marine Line Metal Polish?

And who has used M105 as a metal polish? Anyone posted reviews in the forum about this?

Technically, stainless steel is not supposed to rust but I've seen rust spots or stains on it where holes are drilled and bolts are affixed to it so it's possible.

Any of our metal polishes and even our cleaner/waxes should remove the rust spots or stains with a little rubbing, that would include,

                G16108 Hot Rims Chrome Polish

G13508 Hot Rims Mag & Aluminum Polish

These two polishes can be a little harder to find but keep you eyes open when your at any auto parts store for them...

                M2805 All Metal Polish

                M9314 Metal Polish

This is one can be a little harder to find but works great,

                G13005 All Metal Polysh

After you remove the rust spots/stains, spray some of this on for a protective coating...

                M9214 Metal Guard

The revolutionary technology of this specialized formulation allows the longest lasting and most durable protection on the market today. Safe for all metals, it provides a protective coating on the surface which will prevent salt corrosion, water spots, marring and fading. The coating is microscopic and does not leave the surface feeling artificial or greasy.

I used M105 to polish out the metal trim on our Yukon.
