  • NXT a sign of Meg moving with the trends?

Just got converted into the Meg religion recently. Started stocking up on loads of detailing products. Geez, when one goes to the store to buy these products, how overwhelming it gets looking at the array of products, colours, brands, uses and "detailing icons". It is amazing how much time we can spend gazing at these items...

What I have noticed is that the NXT packaging, glitzy colours and shape is simply an (arguable) shift in the more traditional Meg way of communicating itself. Man, even the applicator pad coming with the tech wax is a cool green/violet combination. And look at the colour combinations of the spray top and bottle, as well as the colours on the labels. Is this a sign of the Meg keeping with the trendier times, or a sign of attracting a different (though still enthusiast) customer segment?

Boy, do the NXT products stand out in terms of visual impressions, and thank the Detailing Gods that the product and outcomes they produce are simply outstanding.

Yep, definitely ugly, sorta looks more like fad product than a "serious" care care line. I wonder how many of those "not in the know" may have made this conclusion and dismissed it because they think this.

Is it true Meg's will have a Pro NXT line? I suspect the packaging will need to be toned down for that.

I always thought they were trying to appeal to the "rice" crowd. Ya know, the Fast and the Furious type drivers.

edited that last word. I meant drivers.

I think Meg's accomplished something great. No matter what you think of it, you saw it on the shelf, it stood out among the sea of other products. So even if you weren't looking for it, it caught your eye. Now, that being said, you may not like the packaging, but at least they got your attention.

I may not care for the packageing, but the product is awesome.

Yeah, that's what i keep hearing. I need to get me a bottle and give it a whirl. Maybe do a side-by-side comparison with the Gold Class paste.

Haha, I had the same thoughts when I first saw NXT wax. I tot it was some kind of hip product which didn't look very professional.

However, it being the newest generation, I guess it has to reflect that image.

Not having the privilege of testing some NXT samples before they were launched, it certainly made me hesitate buying NXT.

However, after reading all the great reviews, I purchased a bottle, and has never looked back.

When I bought NXT I expected a decent wax since it had the Meguiar's name on it but nothing like my other favorites. Boy, was I surprised! I love NXT! I haven't found a car it doesn't look good on!

I have been slowly migrating from Autoglym to Meguiar's since 3 years ago. I really love Meguiar's line of polishing product which Autoglym can never compete of. I started off with consumer products and slowly into professional products right after I get my ROB. Might be getting #80 and #16 soon after reading many articles about this combo. Below is a photo which I captured last weekend, and you could notice I have more Meguiar's products in there.
