Hey Guys,

I was using PlastX on my bug guard today and I was wondering if Plast X leaves any protection behind. It says on the back of the bottle it does but when i did the sqeak test on my buguard and headlight it sqeaked which means there is no wax on the surface. Even if it leaves a protective coating behind, i sealed the Plastic Buguard with #20 Polymer Sealant.

I dont think it is anything like a wax.

I lightly put wax on mine also, and the plastic headlights/taillights.

i thought it was interesting that on the bottle it says it leaves a protective coating behind.

I am sure there is something there.

I have never really gotten the squeak test to work for me anyway, so I dunno.

After I use plastx I like to follow up with whatever wax I am using also. I guess it is up to the individual.

PlastX does contain a protective ingredient in the formula.

Kind of like how a cleaner/wax can clean, polish and protect at the same time?
