  • Disappointment at Target

This time of year, I am usually able to find a very nice Meguiar's kit at Target. I walked in this morning, and I was thoroughly disappointed to see no Megs kit. Armor All and Turtle Ice were there, but no Meg's. The Target kits usually have everything you'd like - wash, wax, interior detailer, etc.

I saw the NXT Gen kit at Wal-Mart, and it's not as loaded as the 7-piece ultimate car care kit from last year. If any other retailer is offering something comparable to what we've been able to find in the past, please let us know.

Not sure on brick & mortar companies but online sellers like ADS (rick) has them on sale.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks, Tim, the trip to Target is kinda like a Holiday tradition for me. I enjoy(ed) showing off how well my car looks with such a bargain price for the products Megs offered through Target. I'll get over it. Maybe.

        Re: Disappointment at Target

For some reason I have never cared for Meguiars holiday kits at Target, I seem to prefer the kits they have packaged for Wal-Mart. But that is just me.

One of my favorite products came from the last Target kit: GC Dashboard and Trim Foam. I absolutely love that stuff. Then there was a sample of Plastx and a bottle of Glass Cleaner that I'm still using - awesome stuff. Meg's you broke my heart.

I'm disappointed to hear that also. I was looking forward to hitting Target and Walmart the day after Christmas to buy Meguiar's kits cheap.

I have never tried the GC foam, but have thought about buying every time I see it on the shelf. Right now I just have too many products!!!

I saw the vinyl and rubber protectant spray bottle at Target, and I'm itching to try that too - I think it will yield similar results to GC Dash foam. I gotta get either some M83 or M105 and some Hyperdressing. I may slow down then no promises.

                  Re: Disappointment at Target

also disappointed that Meguiar's car kit is not available at Target. I too like going after Xmas to get it at 75%off.
My local Walmart doesn't seem to carry those car kits. But again, I haven't gone and checked. I don't want to get stampeded.

                    Probably a result of 3M.

I had the same experience when I went to Target a couple days ago. no kits from Megs. I usually give out one or two for the holidays.

Wally World has a ton of them for 20 bones, picked one up when they came out and will visit again when they close out

                          Re: Disappointment at Target

Thanks, I recently purchased their last 7 - Piece Ultimate Car Care Kit for $20. It was a good deal, but Target's kit is usually Gold Class with some cool extras.

FYI - I called Meg's Customer Care line, and they assured me that this was a Target decision, not a Meguiar's decision. So I let Target know that I like when they have Meg's kits, and requested that they have some available for Father's Day or next Christmas. We'll see how it goes.

I have already picked up one of the kits at Wal-Mart. Going to try and get a couple more after Christmas.

Just keep in mind that these Wal-Mart kits have no "Holiday" references on their packaging. They are not likely to be reduced 50% after Christmas.
