  • Product for Plastic Chrome Grill

I know, the car is supposed to be retro and it was expensive. I don't know why they didn't use real chrome, but it is Chrome-looking Plated Plastic.

I have been just QDing it, but want to put some protection on it (this area of the car is a bug magnet).

I'd like to use NXT wax on it as that is what I use on the rest of the car, but I don't know if that is compatable with plastic.

My next choice would be the NXT protectant.

    Any other suggestions?

A classic wax, (#16, #26) will not hurt but I'm betting any one of the megs polymer products are just fine as well. I use a different brand on mine, it's just fine.

Go ahead and use the NXT or any of the wax's to protect your plastic grill, the auto manufactures know that people will be waxing and spraying these things, so they design them with this in mind.

I would be careful about using anything like a compound to clean it, the "chrome" part is not as durable as a normal chromed piece of steel.
