Finally, I have tried the new NXT 2.0(liquid) on my solid black paint, (2 coats ),but...I'm not impressed...the car seems cleaned but not waxed...It's more darker but It's a little "sterile"...I prefer the Gold Class wax, that, in my opinion, is the best wax for black cars...better of many others overpriced waxes...Gold Class forever!

Re: nxt 2.0 on black
LOL ... yeah ... I like #7 #26 on our black car (which is single stage paint), having not been at all impressed with the original NXT Tech Wax or the new M21 2.0. That's the fun of it - each to their own. Was it the liquid, or paste Gold Class that you used?

Re: nxt 2.0 on black
I do have both the liquid and paste version of Gold Class, i do not have a black car but i just like the wet look it bring to my light silver and mocha silver.I do find a very funny way that the gold class behave, one layer of paste + one layer of liquid wax, do give me the best result. I do try with two layer of paste gold class and two layer of liquid gold class but they just can't beat the combination above.

Re: nxt 2.0 on black
Some like Gold Class, some love NXT Tech Wax, others swear by M26, many think M20 rocks, and plenty of folks think M21 is best. That doesn't even begin to cover the cleaner waxes like M66, M06, Cleaner Wax, or even D151.

Re: nxt 2.0 on black
The last black car I worked on I topped it with NXT 2.0 and I thought it came out pretty dark & wet looking. After I finished with some M66 I put a layer of NXT 2.0 which on the photo below shows a 50/50 shot with NXT being on the right.
I applied the NXT 2.0 on the hood in direct sunlight at about 1:30p and let it sit for about 15 minutes before I wiped off. I guess everyone has different experiences with the different products.

Any wax that works fills to some degree

If your car's paint is in the sun, the sun can warm up the paint to temperatures that will cause the product to want to dry before you're finished applying it and can and will make wiping the product off more difficult.
Meguiar's recommends applying all paint care products on a cool surface in the shade.

Working in the sun? How HOT does your car's paint get?
