  • Product Lines?

What is the best line? NXT, Deep Crystal, Gold Class.

I would also assume that any products in the professional line will surpass the consumer lines. Is that correct?

    Re: Product Lines?

No.. all of the products are very good at what they do. But the different lines are designed to do different things.

Some of the differences are ease of use, or method of application, level of skill, surface you are working on, location where you are working (bodyshop), etc.

To really get the best results if you have showcar goals, you likely will find yourself mixing and matching from all the lines. Most of us who are in this way to deep will have products from the Pro, Detailer, and Consumer lines, maybe even the Marine and Motorcycle Lines as well.

If you just want to wash and wax, then the Consumer Line is designed for that; ie. quick and easy use by the general consumer.

Or likely you will at least end up somewhere in between.....

It's more a matter of specific products for specific needs, for example a painter needs an aggressive compound to remove sanding marks after wet-sanding so we offer compounds in our Professional Line. A car owner wants to maintain a clean, new car look in the interior of their car so we offer a number of products for interior care one would be Quik Interior Detailer.

There's also distribution channels that target different markets.

What's most important is choosing the best product for the job and because Meguiar's manufactures product line for multiple industries it can confuse people new to our brand because most of our competitors only make products for one segment of the industry and that's the retail market for cured paint i.e. passenger cars, trucks and suvs.

That's where this forum comes in handy to learn more about our different product lines as well as our Special Events team that work at car shows all over the U.S., our Customer Care Hotline that's available 6 days a week as well as www.meguiars.com, www.carcrazycentral.com www.meguiarsdirect.com, http://marinerv.meguiars.com/ and Meguiar's Rx Plus
          (Did I leave anything out?)

Meguiar's technical support is available in multiple different channels to help see our customers through to success.

            Re: Product Lines?

Mike and Mur1525 said it best. For me personally, I prefer the Pro and Detailer Line since I can get the specific product to accomplish what I need. Like a pure Polish, a Compound, a pure Wax /Sealant instead of getting an all in one product. Not that there is anything wrong with an all in one product. The Pro and Detailer lines also let you make your own "Custom Combos" to fit your needs. There are so many different products combos you can put together. Oh yeah, I just remembered that the Consumer Line has the 3 step Deep Crystal products. Never tried them. As far as quality goes, all Meguiar's products seem to be made to the highest quality.
