  • preparing for winter time :(

I live at Ontario Canada and are winters are like 6 months?

I'm planning next week to prepare for my winter prep and I need everyones advice.

This is what I plan to do next weekend.

    Wash
    Clay if necessary
    DC Step 1 Cleaner
    Nxt x2

Plan to use booster wax. Everytime I wash the car.

Maybe next week reapply another tech wax coat. Not sure if this will help. What you guys think? Some people recommend to keep coating the wax but sooner or later there will be a limit. At other forums people are recommending to use Klasse SG which supposedly more durable. Any thoughts everyone? Advance thanks for everyones input.

I will be relying on NXT and a topper of #16 this winter. I'll apply the #16 in November. I'll try to get the topper applied when we have one of the last few 40°-50° days. This should last until spring when the 40°-50° temps return. During the winter I run the cars through a touchless carwash regularly.

Meguiars states that NXT Tech Wax is the most durable product they make and I think their #16 is the most durable carnauba they make. I'm confident this combo will last the winter.

Would you think it would be a good idea to keep topping the tech wax until I can no longer wax every week or second week?

I think that applying tech wax every week or two is overkill. Tech wax once a month with spray booster every two weeks should be more than enough.

Can't you just put it out in the sun next Summer and let it thaw out? Sorry! I just couldn't resist.
