  • Top NXT with P21S?

I'm thinking about doing this. Read the Autopia guide and it said that since the P21S has petroleum distillate in it that it would break down silicons or polymers. Basically it said that you could only put P21S wax on top of Klasse SG. Is that guide valid?

I've used S100 many times on top of AIO without a layer of SG in between. It's a very good combination. I've also put S100 over NXT and been very impressed with the results. It's been about a month ago and has held up as well as any carnauba topper.

Alot of great things are being said about NXT. Maybe the P21S on top is not neccessary....

I've been topping NXT Tech Wax with NXT Tech Wax... looks good to me!

I will try some other combo's however just to see what other people are seeing.

I'm not sure the results produced by Tech Wax can be improved upon, it works great by itself.

Just a thought here Mike............ I haven't used a lot of the NXT yet, but I have used some, and have seen a quite of few pics of it. The NXT seems like a very nice product with it's own distinct look......... not completely "synthetic like", nor completely "carnauba like"....... somewhere between the two. I think some people are trying to top it with carnauba, to get more of the carnauba look............ simply because some people like that type of a look?

The best look that I have found is Gold Class (paste) followed by Tech Wax. You get the darkening and deepening of GC with the wetness and satiny look of the NXT. Try it if you don't believe me. And remember, I'm not a big fan of GC.

Second best is Tech Wax / Tech Wax.

As the light changed from red to green to yellow and back to red again, I sat there thinking about life. Was it nothing more than a bunch of honking and yelling? Sometimes it seemed that way.

I'd imagine the look of GC / NXT would be similar to GC / S100, which I tried, and like thus far... http://www.autopia.org/forums/showth...threadid=33690

                Or maybe not.

You get the darkening and deepening of GC with the wetness and satiny look of the NXT.
I guess this is how I would describe GC/S100: "You get the darkening and deepening of GC with the reflectivity and hardness of S100."

I guess I can't really say without having tried NXT.

Maybe when I can get my hands on some, and have used up some other products.

Anyway, I like GC / S100, but that is about one of the only "toppings" situations I've tried. I'd think that the GC / S100 combo is about equal to NXT alone...Gold Class and S100 are about as opposite as you can get, as far as I can tell. Combining them puts you right in the middle, I think, which is about where NXT stands. Topping a product with another product just shifts the final result one way or another?
