2.0 application

i used 2.0 the other day on a lexus es330 at work, and i used a damp applicator to apply it, it seemed to give a perfectly thin layer of product which wiped off very very easily, i did two coats for the customer.

is this a normal way of applying 2.0? it gave a much more even, thin coat than my usual dry applicator.
