Waxed, rained, now what to use?

I just clayed my Mustang and waxed it using NXT today.... two hours later it rained and I had to drive out... so now the car looks like **** ... dust or grime on it... What can i use to get it back how it was this am without washign it again, quick detailer?

There is dust on the paint now obviously, so I don't want to scratch it... I am thinking this is needed as well, for example, you wash, wax the car in the a.m, then drive to a car show.... what should I use?

As much as you don't want to hear this. I would go ahead and give it another quick wash. Some Gold Class or NXT wash and it is right back to that just waxed look of a few hours ago! ....to answer the 2nd part, yes use quick detailer (though some also will use a "Calf. duster" first).

I would always wash after driving in the rain. There's all kind of "stuff" that is kicked up off the road that has landed on your car. Unless it rained on the car while it was sitting still, washing it is the only way to go.

Don't ruin your hard work by rubbing dirt (no longer talking about light dust that QD is good for) around on the paint. Wash it.

As for the second part, that is where you would use QD.

Unfortunately, washing really is the only option. Using a qd type of product is for light dust, fingerprints, smudges. Anything more then that it would fall into give it a wash.

I like to use Optimum No Rinse wash after a rain

Especially since it rained within two hours of waxing, you'll want to wash and wax again—the wax needs a good 12-24 hours to set up, which it definitely didn't get having to deal with the rain.

If the wax wasn't rubbed on though, I wouldn't say it is gone or no good. It couldn't hurt though to put a second coat on for even coverage.
