I've read a lot about hand correcting paint defects/ScratchX/passion here on MOL so, with a freshly washed car, ScratchX, GC, two applicators and two MFs I started my "Passion" project: the bumper of our '97 Cavalier.

Here's the subject for this passion project. Notice the hazing on the top of bumper. Especially the right side...

Here's a bit closer up on the right side

Another before shot

After...LOTS of passion! (Topped with GC liquid)

I wasn't able to completely correct the area of concern (as these next two photos show. But, considering this is a daily driver, parked in the driveway with 147K original miles... I am a lot happier with how it looks now.

The cloudy area at the bottom right of this shot is not a cloud reflecting in the sky it's the bumper's finish. Is this the beginning of CC failure?

I guess my next step in correction is a machine and some D151.
