    Ultimate Quik Detailer Rocks!

    Just wanted to rave about this awesome product!!!

    At first, I was very skeptical about this especially given it's 9.99 price tag. I've had experience with the normal quick detailer and I wasn't too impressed with it. So for Meguiar's to go a step forward and make an ultimate version didn't sell very well to me.

    As I was helping out Jeff (kerrinjeff) & Mike (audionutmike) detail Jeff's 1986 Mustang, they were raving about this product. They highly recommended the product to me and Mike mentioned that Target was selling them 2 for $12. I stopped by a local target this evening and picked up 2 bottles. I washed my car as I got home and used UQD after. I was amazed by the shine!!! It left the surface looking wet and it was highly noticable. It was amazing!

    Side note: It does smell like the NXT 2.0 Wax. I was wondering maybe it has the polymers of the NXT wax that's why it smells like it? Anyone care to comment about this?

    UQD is a awesome product. The way it enhances your finish is amazing.

          I love this stuff, I use it often on both my cars. It even adds a glow to my white car.

                With all due respect to my esteemed colleague, it's pretty widely known that both Ultimate Quik Detailer and NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 both contain Hydrophobic Polymer Technology (says so on the respective packaging even), so we won't actually be taking that well known saying to its ultimate conclusion.

                But is that what makes them smell the way they do? Ahhh, there's the question. Now please refer back to Mr. Phillips' earlier response.

                  I have used Poorboy's Spray and Gloss and Griots Garage Speed Shine prior to using UQD. Both of the other products work very well, however UQD is by far my favorite UQD. It goes on easily. does not streak, and leaves behind a great shine. I tend to use this product at least 3 times a week on my car. (BTW, the 2 for $12deal @Target just seals the deal) The other half finished bottles just stay in my shed now, while UQD retains a spot in my car's trunk.

                    What about the professional brand detailer that Meguiar's sales that supposedly has the same hydrophobic polymer technology? Is it better than UQD?

                      No not better, just as great...

                      Just in case you or anyone reading this doesn't know, Meguiar's started out in the early 1900's making products for the refinishing industry, not the enthusiast market, thus we had our Professional Line 70+ years before our Consumer Line and these two different lines not only cater to very different markets but also have different distribution channels.
