  • Is the G110 right for me?

I would only be using this to rid the burden and physical strain to apply wax, and once in a great while ScratchX as a paint cleaner (not so much as a individual scratch remover).

Come to think of it, I would also incorporate it once every 1-2 years with PlastX on my clear headlights after a strenuous session of a 2-step wetsand.

My most important concern, is to disable my amatuer-self from getting too over zealous and causing any harm, no matter how small that harm may be.

You'll be fine... just need a G110, some #80, wax of your choice, some pads, bonnets, and good to go.

The human hand can never outperform the machine.

The G110 will do a dramatically better of job of applying any wax to your car's paint compared to your hand and a wax applicator.

Once you use it, you'll wonder how you got along without it for so long.

The G110 will make your life so much easier when detailing. Get one you will be glad you did.

I have a PC and Makita, but I got to try a G110 the other day. You will be glad you got the G110! You could do a few cars for friends and pay for it in no time. I'd suggest getting some 151, 95, 83 and 80 - those will take care of most paint problems and then some 21 and 26 for LSP's.

          Here's a tip on headlights - 2000 grit sandpaper followed by 95 or 84.

I don't have any paint problems, and I was just planning on using the consumer line. It took some time just to wrap myself around a good routine with the consumer line. May I ask why you guys are recommending the professional line? I mean, I'll use it if it's better, or worth it, but I was just planning on wash (gold class), rinse, clay w/ quik detailer spray, scratchx over whole car as a cleaning step (not so much a scratch removing session), wax.

If you're comfortable with our Consumer Line by all means stick with it as the paint care products are top notch.

What are all these product #s that people reference? I checked out the professional line on meguairs.com but they all had regular-descriptive names.

They are part numbers....Every product has a part number, but if you were to buy a bottle of a Pro-Line product, it actualy has the part number right on the lable. So like #80 Speed Glaze, #83 Dual Action Cleaner Polish, #62 Shampoo and Conditioner, etc.

So shorthand kind of becomes just using the part numbers.

Also, on the meguiars.com store, you'll notice they have part numbers as well... so like you'll see #8032 Speed Glaze.. for a 32oz bottle of #80.
