Can I use ScratchX as a paint cleaner?

Could I use this as a paint cleaner, and apply and buff out on the entire car? As in,

1, wash
2, clay
3, scratchx
4, wax

Or should I use Deep Crystal for the paint cleaning step? I only ask because I bought a bottle of ScratchX for a scratch, so I already own it.

Also, when doing all these multistep processes, am I supposed to just rinse once (after the wash), or should i also rinse after claying before the next steps?

You sure can. You'll have to work the product very well against the surface so tackling the entire car in one day can/would be hard so I suggest if you are going to work by hand and using ScratchX then work a panel or two panels in one day and rest. In the long run it could give your better results.

You don't have to rinse after claying, you would wash/rinse/dry and then clay a section at a time, when you are finished claying wipe dry with a clean microfiber towel

ScratchX is a paint cleaner.

Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner and ScratchX are both paint cleaners, you can use either one to clean your car's paint. ScratchX is more aggressive than DCPC but to keep things in perspective they are both very light or gentle products relative to a traditional rubbing or polishing compound.
