I use rain X with paper towel to apply on my windscreen. Wait a while for it to haze and use a microfiber kitchen towel to remove the hazing.

For me, I try Rain-X before but never touch it anymore as applying is very fast but removal takes longer time.

It will cause my wiper to judder which is very irritating till I do not want to use the wiper when raining.

I managed to clean the windscreen with the soda yesterday and also the meguiar glass polish, change my original wiper to Bosch Aero Twin.

Just now when drizzling, no problem with wiper or windscreen anymore, no more streaking noise and wiper juddering anymore.

Guess will leave it as it is and use the glass cleaner to clean the glass when it is dirty.

I use eagle 1 20/20 and it seems to clean and leave some type of glass protectant because it has to ran hard before I have to turn my wipers on. I also used to get chatter as you call it but I purchased some boch blades and I haven't had the issue any more. I hadn't even thought about it until reading this post. I bought them for more of a show look then for performance. Now that I think about it they work very well lol.

I have some Bosch ones.. fiance has some Bosch ones... they definately seem to work well.

Shame they are pricey.. have to look for them on sale and stock up.

I usually apply a coat of Rain-X to the windshield after I wash, then wait for it to get hazy and polish off with crumpled newspaper. I have some Michelin blades that are about 2 years old and they don't chatter.

Another thing to do is to clean your wipers with APC or some kind of cleaner like a simple green if you dont have APC. Spray it on a paper towel and pull it down the wiper blade, you would be surprised what comes off!

Have no chatter even with cheap blades.....

Most people don't realise what **** you have on your windshield over time. Maybe some one was leaking Diffy fluid in front of you during rain storm, maybe car ran over puddle with oil and it went all over the front and windshield. But I bet the front got some loving but glass didn't. Glass becomes almost "Sticky" after awhile. Hence water spots, weird shapes, wipers don't wipe everything even, weird holograms under a certain angle, or even WORSE AT NIGHT IN A RAIN STORM you can't see ANYTHING because after wipers pass you have a hazy film resedue that wipers just smear and chatter over. That could be very dangerous. I almost hit a curb once because of that.

1) Make sure glass is super smooth, you can bring back the brand new feel to your windscreen by... (Clay and after work it with some glass or even paint polish, polishing compound works wonders)

2) Make sure blades rubber did not dry out. IF IT HAS soak them with good amount of Vynil/Rubber dressing from Megs. Even better, I treat mine every detail while I am waiting for NXT2.0 to cure.

This step is optional, works well for me though....
3) Apply sealant to glass, in this case NXT/2.0 is what I am talking about and NOT Gold Class or any carnuba waxes.

Windshield like new, chattering GONE.

I use Rain X or Glaco. Wax is ok though.

Well, all of the windows can be RainX, or any other wax, or UQD. The front is where people get the problems of wiper chatter.

But with properly cleaned windows, occasional coats of RainX, and good wipers, I haven't had a problem.

A passenger commented on the beading on my windscreen, and it's been WEEKS since I last applied UQD. Good stuff! I'm impressed with the longevity of this stuff on the painted surfaces too. I'm off to apply my first coat of NXT Tech Wax 2.0 now. (on the painted surfaces only)

The passenger actually said "you wax your car often, do you?" At that point I didn't know whether he was referring to the glass, or the bonnet - if he was referring to the glass, I thought it strange that he would think that I would wax my windscreen at all. So I actually asked him what he was referring to, and sure enough, he was definitely referring to the windscreen.

After every wash I UQD the car and also all the glass, as of yet there have been no issues

I agree with your properly cleaned windows comment. People often tell me that there blades chatter and I ask how they clean there glass. I always get the strange look. If the glass is dirty and filled with bug guts, road grime, tar etc, the will chatter because the blades can't smoothly glide across it. I always use the same method that I use to evaluating the paint. If I feel containments on the glass, then I give it a proper cleaning. Not just glass cleaner or soap. Giving the glass a nice scrub will just about always help or stop the chatter. I also use RainX and never had any chatter issues. I make sure the blades are in good shape and the glass is always clean.

RainX makes two windshield washer solutions (winter and summer). Stops the chatter immediately.

I have used chrome polish on my windshield numerous times. It isn't Meguiar's though. Back in the day the product I use used to be called chrome and glass polish. It works wonders and have never had any problems. Just don't get it on the black trim around the window.
