  • I just bought $70 off Meguiar's products from Amazon.com

I live in South America (we don't have Meguiar's here), and a friend of my who lives in the US is coming here to visit us, so I asked him to buy these for me:

am I missing anything? what I am looking for is products to wash the car, dry the car and wax it, am I missing a cloth to wash, dry or wax?
also is that wax one of the best I can get?

I use a vacuum cleaner for the inside so I guess I don't need those brushes, right?

I thought about buying the Turtle Wax Ice products (they look fantastic) but it seems they only have polishers, and my car is 2008 so I don't feel good polishing new cars, maybe in about to 2 years I will change my mind

There are always more products to buy.....

Looks like amazon sells a Supreme Shime Microfiber 3 -pack... that is a good cloth for removing cleaner/polishes/waxes. How many you would want to get is up to you, I tend to recomend 3 Water Magnets and at least that many Supreme Shines.

If washing and basic waxing are your goals, I would look at this process:

    1. Wash - A quality soap like Gold Class, 2 bucket system, and good quality sponge/mitt, and good quality drying towel like the Water Magnet.

    2. Clay - Smooth Surface Clay (which the one kit seems to have) though extra Quick Detailer Spray may be wanted.

    3. Cleaner/Wax - You could use either the Cleaner/Wax in the Maroon bottle, or ColorX.

    4. Wax - Nxt 2.0 is a very good wax.

I would tend to use soft brushes and cheaper brand microfiber or decent terry towels for the interior. I am sure you can find those locally. And probably some kind of soft foam applicator can be found locally to apply those products.

So, you know.... maybe extra soap, maybe a bottle of a cleaner/wax, more towels, and as I said, there is always more stuff.

Hope that helps, or ask some more.

is the $44 kit there is a 1 Microfiber Towel(M9910), is the Supreme one that better? I already have a Soft Touch Microfiber Chamois, so for now 1x Magnet works for me.

I am not sure which MF towel that is. It might be an Ultimate Wipe. It is a very good towel, but you figure one or two to remove the product on each step, you will certainly want a couple more.

Supreme Shines or Ultimate Wipes would both be good, looks like Amazon has some 3-packs.

If you got some ColorX, you'd really be set to do a pretty nice detail. And as I said, any extra soap, Quick Detailer....

I mean, glass cleaners, metal polishes, all-purpose cleaners, and that sort of thing are kind of extra.

You can buy some Meg's products from this website: www.sbrio.com

Unfortunately, they don't have the complete line.

ColorX, or sometimes called Colour Boost in some countries, is a very nice cleaner/wax. It takes care of the cleaning, polishing, and one of the waxing steps all in one, then you would just top it with your Nxt 2.0.

The Nxt wax should generaly be applied to a surface that has been prepped, or is in very good condition. So ColorX takes care of that.

A clay kit it's extremely important, get a Smooth Surface kit and PlastX (not available on south america).

                      I would buy M81 too.
