Don't want to annoy anyone with this question because it has come up before but what is the official word on this product containing cleaners? Is it layerable, yet still contains slight ones?

Re: NXT 2.0 Cleaners?
This topic comes up all the time, mostly because people read on other forums that they can layer waxes, by layer "they" mean,
"To continually increase the thickness or layer of the product being applied to the paint"
Problem is, with all this talk... no one has ever proved it. None of the personalities on any other forum, no one has ever backed up what they type on a forum with proof and with a process anyone else can easily duplicate.
You see if it were true, that is if you could actually apply more and more coats of a product and create on your car's paint a thicker and thicker layer of wax, or polish or paint sealant or whatever you want to call what it is you're using, then you could measure the increase in thickness using a Paint Thickness Gauge.
Yet the silence is deafening...
Have you checked Hot Topics yet? There's 2-3 threads on this topic where the idea is dissected and dispelled. We keep a link to Hot Topics on the forum homepage always as it's such a great resource for information on hot topics.
NXT is not a cleaner/wax, it is not intended to be applied to a neglected, dirty or oxidized or stained finish. It's for paint in excellent condition.
Meguiar's recommend applying two coats of any wax or paint sealant you choose to use for 2 reasons,
- To create a uniform layer of equal coverage over the surface
- To insure a uniform appearance
The second coat is optional and if you do a very good job of applying the first coat of wax then you don't need to apply a second coat. This just depends upon your goals and your skill level.
Just to note, even if layering were possible, then keep in mind the product you're layering needs to be and if fact would have to be 100% clear in the bottle or otherwise you would cloud the finish.
Make sense?
Would love to have someone prove that you can truly create a thick coating of protection on the paint that at the same time doesn't diminish the paint original clarity and beauty.
Any takers?
